Preamble

This proposal represents a request by the communities of Wikibound and Italian Wikibound, presently represented to us by OmegaToad and Benz respectively, to be ported off of their present host, Grifkuba, and adopted into the project. The majority of our sites have come from Grifkuba, and it has been the express intent from the beginning to accept other sites which wish to leave openly into the project. Since well over a year has passed since this project's founding, I've sought fit to present a proposal to the representatives in order to affirm this commitment, or for any objections to it to be presented.

S1. Site Details

Wikibound and Italian Wikibound are both well established sites in the greater independent wiki community, both being NIWA/NIWIN members. While they've both suffered from inactivity, I believe this request represents a concerted effort in order to resolve at least some of the underlying reasons for it, and to reboot the community. Despite their topic being notorious for a lack of newly released content, it's still a beloved franchise and has a deep JRPG universe that I believe could support an active community.

S2. Course of Action

• Present both sites complete approval to membership, pending their release from their present host.
• Offer a secure mechanism for the transfer of site data to site representatives, to be presented to their present host
• Either receive domain from present host, or place it in the care of site representatives
• Import sites into OpenWiki technology stack
• Register each site as their own member, creating four new representatives in total.

S3. Contingencies

This proposal is contingent on Grifkuba releasing the sites to the community. I have been informed that they have pledged to do so upon obvious request from that community. I wish to also make it explicit that this proposal's request originates from those communities, and that the project nor its representatives has had no direct influence on their decision to do so, to my knowledge.

In the event such contingency falls through, I believe the option of an external fork should be considered as a separate proposal. Such an alternative has non-trivial consequences that would necessitate further discussion

This proposal requires a simple majority to pass.
