Preamble

As originally intended at the creation of OpenWiki, and as is written in our Charter, we need to start accepting of donations. At present, I am the sole financial contributor to OpenWiki. I intend to continue making up the difference, but to help me personally, and in the event I can no longer afford it, we should at least establish a basis to collect donations.

S1. Treasury

1. All money shall be held inside a savings and checking account opened for this purpose.
2. The Treasurer shall maintain a debit card in their name.
3. This money and the accounts containing, shall be opened and maintained by the Treasurer
4. Ampera, out of necessity, shall be Treasurer.
5. At the end of every month, the complete transaction and balance ledger shall be made public
6. These ledgers may be edited to remove personal names or information.

S2. Non-profit

1. At some point in the future, The OpenWiki Project shall seek to establish itself as a legal not-for-profit company.
2. The following section shall apply only upon the creation of that company.
3. Upon the creation of that company, all accounts shall be reopened in its name, and all assets transferred
4. The Treasurer shall become a floating position, elected by simple majority, rotating yearly, with no term limit.
5. The Treasurer shall be subject to removal by 3/4ths majority in favor of an alternative.
6. In the event no candidates apply, or not enough votes are cast, The Treasurer shall not rotate.

S2. Expenses

1. Expenses, either regular or one-time, shall only made by approval of proposal.
2. Expenses may either be made through the debit card, or by check/ACH to an individual entrusted to make that expense.
3. Entrusted individuals must be established per-expense, in the event they are not the Treasurer

S3. PayPal

1. The Treasurer shall create a PayPal business account, for the sole purpose of establishing a donate button.
2. This button shall be placed on a common page on The OpenWiki Project site, explaining the nature of donations.
3. This page shall be linked to on all pages, in the navbox, footer, or other suitable location, on all member sites.
4. This page shall be written and maintained by the Treasurer, who must change the page upon simple proposal.

S4. Patreon

1. The Treasurer shall create a Patreon account.
2. This Patreon account must be capable of creating multiple donation tiers.
3. The first tier shall cost 2USD, and come with no rewards besides gratitude
4. The second tier shall cost 5USD, and come with a name, subject to approval, placed on a credits page within all member sites, also linked to within a navigation or footer element.
5. The Treasurer shall be responsible for maintaining those pages.
6. These tiers may be modified through simple proposal.

Voting

This proposal only requires a simple majority to pass.
